Biography:
Richard has more than 23 years in Audit and Tax Accounting and is a Certified Public Accountant in Oregon and Washington. Prior to joining AKT, Richard spent 6 years as Audit and Tax Partner with The WEL Group of Portland. Richard has extensive experience with Audit and Compliance representing Construction, Non-profit, Financial Services as well as helping small to midsize businesses. Richard’s experience also includes work with Employee Benefit Plans (including Taft-Hartley), Yellowbook (GAGAS), IRS and DOL representation, buy-sell and reorganization of small businesses, Gift and Estate, and oversight of quality control and peer review. Richard currently holds the position as AICPA Peer Reviewer. Richard is a certified Public Accountant in both Oregon and Washington and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and both the Oregon and Washington Society of Certified Public Accountants. He received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, Accounting from the University of Oregon and a Master of Taxation from Portland State University.
