Education: BS from Portland State University; JD from the University of Oregon School of Law

Biography: As AKT's Director of Human Resource, Melissa Berndt oversees the HR functions for all of AKT's offices throughout Alaska, California and Oregon. Prior to joining AKT, Melissa worked as Assistant Vice-President for US Bank's Charitable Services Group. She has also worked as a consultant for a large, national accounting firm.

Melissa is a member of the Oregon State Bar, the Employment Law Section of the Oregon State Bar, and the Society for Human Resources Management. She also serves on the University of Oregon Professional Advisory Committee, the United Way Planned Giving Committee, and the Northwest Planned Giving Roundtable Board.
